How to choose a footbike for an adult – for leisure time
The feeling of the approaching end of the workday on a Friday when you know that you have a free weekend ahead of you is simply priceless. The weather forecast is for no clouds in the sky and a light wind that will occasionally lightly cool your brow or will even be a helpful tailwind; in other words, there is nothing to prevent you from setting off on a trip on your footbike. But you haven’t chosen the right one yet? That’s a slight problem, of course, but, happily, it is easily fixed. The following advice will help you choose a footbike for leisure time use.
Size matters - don’t let anyone tell you otherwise
Adults can admittedly ride smaller footbikes, but it is much more comfortable and ergonomic to choose a larger model that better corresponds to the build of a large boy or girl who wants to get some healthy exercise in the fresh air.

This footbike has 26×20 inch wheels, meaning that it is a big model that combines several advantages: the correct amount of room and comfort for the rider, a large front wheel with a low rolling resistance and the willingness to overcome large bumps and less effort required when riding. We haven’t, however, mentioned the fact that the folding variants do not change the handling or the comfort of the footbikes; the folding option does not mean having to give up on anything – all the good features remain unchanged with the added bonus of smaller travel dimensions.
You can also purchase footbikes in the basic, more affordable FUN. This series is especially designed for beginners, i.e. for those who are not yet sure if they will enjoy riding a footbike and therefore don’t want to invest too much in one.
